Tales of the Valiant basiert auf dem #DnD SRD 5.1 unter Creative Commons und gehört zu #KoboldPress neuem #5e-System, das unter dem Codenamen #ProjectBlackFlag entwickelt wurde. Eine deutschsprachige Übersetzung ist bislang nicht angekündigt.
Player's Guide und Monster Vault für #ToV wurden zuvor per Kickstarter mit > 1 Mio $ finanziert
Mir sind die Ergebnisse zu abstrakt, um von Nutzen zu sein. Mir würde eine etwas präzisere Benennung, etwas mehr Fleisch an der Stachelgrube, mehr bringen als nur einen Mix aus sehr groben Schlagworten zu bekommen. Darf natürlich auch nicht zu konkret sein, man will ja auch noch eigene Kreativität einfließen lassen. Den Sweetspot zu treffen ist wahrscheinlich (wie immer) nicht ganz einfach
Tales of the Valiant verwendet das Konzept "Rasse" nicht und setzt statt dessen auf "Lineage" und "Heritage" (etwa: Abstammung und Kultur). Hier ist ein Template, um eigene Heritage zu kreieren:
"Lineage is what kind of being you are: an elf, a dwarf, a gnome. Heritage is your culture and learned traits gained during formative years: forest idyll, underground city, traveling merchant band."
Wolfgang Baur von #KoboldPress teilt mit, dass #TalesOfTheValiant in mehrere europäische Sprachen übersetzt wird und Gwynn Wettach, ehemals #UlissesSpiele, deutet an, dass eine dieser Sprachen ganz vielleicht Deutsch sein könnte
Das SRD-ähnliche Papier basiert auf der aktuellen Alpha-Version des Systems und ist unter @orc lizensiert. Kobold Press kündigt an, dass weitere Versionen des BFRD folgen werden
