Two hours of hand filing in this heat and humidity was the worst idea ever, but good progress at least

Skipped a few steps and drew the rest of the owl - finished the pentagram necklace I've been working on for a month

ok it turns out the last 2 hours of iwlwifi debugging was all in vain because out of frustration I just went into another room and my laptop connected to a different WLAN AP and now everything is fast again.

Okay, I actually didn't do that much , instead I tried some for a change. Found some pre-bent sheet of steel in the trash, and after some grinding, some filing with flat files, some sawing, some more filling with triangular files, some drilling, and some screwing, I now have a metal planing stop.

The parallelogram is now cut out and it's held in the vice with the longer parallel side upwards. Short black lines in regular intervals are along the edge, and a small metal saw makes small cuts on the marks perpendicular to the edge.
The saw cuts have now been filed into triangular teeth, and the piece has been fixed to the workbench with two screws on a short wooden spacer holding it about a centimeter over the workbench. It is now visible that two of the original bends in the sheet have been re-used so that the the teeth are offset a bit higher than the screws. The teeth press into the end grain of a light board of ash, holding it in place during planing, and on the board rests a metal hand plane between some long, curly shavings.
