A new study from Microsoft and LinkedIn has found that AI usage in the workplace has doubled in the last six months.
The data comes from a survey completed by 31,000 people across 31 countries, which found that 75% of workers are now using AI as part of their jobs. Over half are using it for their most important tasks, but don't want to admit it out of fear it makes them look replaceable. Here’s more from CNBC.
I recently got thrown into the world of AI and LLMs. My role suddenly flipped from working on Search products for Microsoft Office to being right at the forefront of Microsoft Copilot exploration.
So, here is my Hugging Face profile... because that's a thing. I don't know how I'll use my account yet, but if you want to follow me, there I am.
Microsoft has announced a new subscription service for Copilot for individuals at $20 a month.
While the subscription for enterprise customers made sense, I'm not sure if Copilot Pro currently offers enough benefits for individual users to be willing to pay an additional $20/month for.
Personally, I think it would be better to bundle it with Microsoft 365 or something similar to Google's offerings with Google One.
First time I've noticed this, but state-owned broadcaster @nrk :nrk: (Norway's answer to the BBC) has started using AI summaries in live news articles.
"The summary is created by an AI service from OpenAi."
