A personal challenge, last year I ran/staggered 7070k in the year (a month off because of injury). My goal is 7777k this year, aided by a keen Collie and a sarcastic partner who has offered a hug if I manage it (and I can probably get a sympathetic hug if I don’t 🤣). ‘New Season’ shoe sales❣️
So far, day 49. 1210k. (I’m assuming a few down days - better had do, 8888k will be beyond me)
@Wen I definitely empathise with the sarcastic partner. When I get home I don't get "Did you have a nice run?" I get a smart-arsed quip of "Thought you'd gone" or "Are you back already?" suggesting I just go outside for five minutes and hide in the shrubbery! I mean I can't help giving the illusion of swiftness on my runs, being the lithe, lissome, athletic beast wot I obviously is (cough) ... but, really?! 😅 I hope you (with the aid/hindrance?) of Collie dog successfully smash those 7777km.
