Photographers with digital cameras that can do multiple exposures – which cameras that you know of (or even have) can do in-camera multiple exposures, either overlaid onto an existing RAW or not, can select on each successive exposure a composite mode such as additive; average; lightest; darkest (the naming may vary but those are the typical creatively minimum useful set) and save the resulting in-camera multiple exposure as a raw itself, not just a jpeg

Which cams satisfy that?

Image of the day is Full-body Print, an in-camera on . In Photosynthesis, with the right lighting and the right texture, models can be properly dressed up with plants. This is what happened here with Hortense. I find it fascinating that everything is visible to the camera and yet everything is hidden as well. I had to censor it for the Meta platforms though, because just the idea of something being visible triggers the bots and/or the prude users...

Delicate Lashes is an in-camera on FP4 . I love those well defined little plants that look like a sky full of stars when double exposed, but when I saw such a bed of plants with long herbs growing on top, I figured I was onto something special, and I was right (I think). The combination of the two really works on this photo of Aurore's back.

Image of the day is Lady Partial The whole concept of the inverted and lateral treetops technique is to erase part of the model. It's not an exact science however, and sometime too much is erased, sometimes not enough. In this particular case you might argue that too much has been erased, I think this is a perfect image, very evocative and feminine. What do you think?

Image of the day is Mantree, an in-camera on FP4 . This session with Sandise was amongst my last in Hong Kong, a bit rushed and not in the best of conditions, but it yielded some really cool results nonetheless, including this image which, for some reason, I've never published before. Dark skins let through a lot of texture, which mean finding the lighting balance is tricky, but when it works, oh boy is it spectacular !

Revisit of Country Sunset Dreams. I had to run to the nearby field to get this photo as the sun was fading fast. The ripening crop in this field stands about 3 feet taller than my head, with the path on a much lower level. The foliage makes an interesting silhouette in the foreground, but the (in camera) multiple exposure gives such a dreamy feel that I decided to reshare this.
Have a lovely all.

Image of the day is Floral Extension, an in-camera on . Flowers would seem on the face of it to be an easy texture to work with, because they're spontaneously perceived as pretty. But because they are most of the time disjointed, there's a randomness to them that actually doesn't work in a lot of images. Here I think it works well, and I love Aurore's pose, very natural. The outline of her biceps is a particular detail that really makes this image special to me.

Image of the day is Twist, an in-camera on . From the start of the Photosynythesis project I've known that exploring new and different poses was going to be an important area of development. Louise was more than willing to not only try but suggest off the beaten path stuff, and this particular image really struck both of us as being very different and interesting. What do you think ?

Image of the day is Oakback, an in-camera on . When I did these initial tests, I wasn't thinking about much beyond exposure, so there's a degree of randomness in the poses and how well they fit with the leaf shapes. It seems obvious to me now looking at the images that I can work with the leaf veins in a similar way than when I do my spines in the classic Photosynthesis images. But strangely enough, perhaps, I really like this one because it's not symmetrical, and also because a lot of it is unseen (including Elodie's head). What do you think ?

Image of the day is Three Eyes, an in-camera on . This image is a straight (and imperfect) copy of an Elliot Erwitt experiment that I saw at the end of one of his books. There was no information on the original image and how it was achieved, but my guess is it was a darkroom composite with a flipped negative. I thought I could emulate that in-camera. As you can see I'm not quite there, the lighting isn't right and that breaks the illusion, but I think it's achievable, so I'll keep trying!

Image of the day is Six-Legged, an in-camera on . This image is probably the closest in concept to Yva's Danse without being a straight copy. It's got that slightly chaotic superimposition. I wish I'd paid more attention to the positioning of the arms, which means I'll have to do a few more attempts, but still, I find the concept quite promising.

Image of the day is Mélancolie, an in-camera on . I love it when the texture and the model respond to each other in some way. Here, I find the melancholy look on Aurore's face to suggest an automnal feel reinforced by the tree leaves at the bottom of the silhouette. Even if these were shot at the height of summer!

Image of the day is Just the Bust, an in-camera on . This is the second time that I have tried this pose with Lara. The first one was on a whim, when she stretched her arms back to prepare for a pose and I asked her to stop there. I felt that the photo without the arms created a degree of abstraction that was worth exploring. The lighting on that image wasn't entirely to my liking however, so we tried again. I'm quite please with how this new one came out. I've been reading about the history of nude photography a lot and in particularly the seeking for shapes in the human body, and I think this is definitely a direction I want to explore further.
