"Mobile-zombie-free zone" sign spotted at a playground in in recently.

Ironically that made me pick up my own phone to take this photo, acting like another of those infamous zombies. In my defense I did not actually enter the playground, so strictly speaking I did not violate the sanctity of the mobile-zombie-free zone. Also, the phone ( yay!) was back in pocket directly without further zombie-like behaviour. 🙂

Everyone's excited about pretty sun flares right now; I found one in my collection too, although slightly different in its nature 😁

No manual editing this time, but an automatic postprocessing script using darktable-cli and rudimentary lens corrections. Takes ~30 sec to develop on the phone - about ten times longer than the default script used by Millipixels, but with much better results.

The sign says, literally, "The bushes die if your dog pees on them" (in Swedish).

That's how straight lines look like through your phone's camera lens. Such distortion needs to be corrected in software.

Walked past this on my way to work the other day. It's like that The Sound of Silence song

"and the sign flashed out its warning..."

but wait, the sign did not say anything about the words of the prophets, instead it said "oops" and "Microsoft" and "your computer is low on memory, close Google Chrome" 😄

Okay, let's heed the warning from this sign: never use Microsoft or Google products, for anything, ever. Don't let them fool you. Don't but their "AI" bullshit either.

Finally managed to get a new bicycle after moving back to so I started doing bike rides in the weekends again.

Riding a bike in Lisbon is a whole different beast, compared to where I lived before in Germany. With all the hills inside the city. Specially if you are out of shape :)

Also managed to record the bike ride with the gps, using traces. Also :)

For practical reasons, photos that you are processed into JPEGs with lower quality than what the camera can do. There are some (complex) ways in which this processing could be made faster and therefore cram more pixels and algorithms that make things prettier, but meanwhile...

Each photo you take is stored as both raw DNG and processed JPG - so you can go back to raw data and retroactively gain quality. See https://dosowisko.net/l5/photos/ for an example.

I was just sitting there minding my own business, watching the kids football game IFK Bergshamra - IF Brommapojkarna 6 earlier today, when suddenly this little fellow being landed on my knee.

Last week parts of the community got together at and, dare I say, had a great time in our "FOSS on Mobile" devroom 🌈

Throughout two days we had some hacking, lightning talks, workshops and BoFs!

Saturday morning I had the pleasure of welcoming around 5 people (at 10:00 in the morning!)
to the room.

Sadly, this is also true for aluminum-made drumsticks... RIP
