Meine Mama hat ein altes Android-Handy von Huawei. Bei ihr funktioniert die vorinstallierte App für die Telefonie nicht mehr. Kann eins die irgendwie umgehen? Gibt es Apps, mit denen eins telefonieren kann, sodass es nicht auf dem Datenvolumen aufschlägt, sondern bei der Telefonie? #fedihelp

Ich habe gerade aus Interesse beim Google Play Store geschaut was aus #simplemobiletools geworden ist. Das stellt ja alle negativen Erwartungen in den Schatten.

Wenn ich #VLC auf dem Smartphone starte muss er jedes Mal erst die komplette Library neu laden und das dauert immer 1-2 Minuten. Jedes. Verdammte. Mal.
Das macht den VLC für mich als Musik-Player unbrauchbar. Kann man ihm das irgendwie abgewöhnen? Warum merkt er sich das nicht? Habt ihr Empfehlungen für andere Audio-Player (bitte nur F-Droid!)?
Got through some Aurora Store installed apps update. Remembered the #SimpleMobileTools (that I fortunately installed through F-Droid) were sold. Saw that I still had Recorder. Scrolled down to recent user reviews.

Ben non attends j'utilise la version fork gallerie simple; dont tout le monde s'est rabattu après le rachat de simple mobile. Là il s'agit d'un fork, y a pas de liaisons avec l'entreprise vérolé qui l'a racheté. Ce message de simple mobile tools n'a donc rien à foutre ici.

Ich selbst nutze bevorzugt Ghost Commander, aber der ist sicher für viele Anwendungszwecke überdimensioniert.
Den Simple Manager von Simple Mobile Tools kenne ich auch, aber der ist wiederum zu "simple", so dass der Fossify Manager auch nicht passen würde.
Nun hat mich jemand nach einer Empfehlung gefragt. Es gibt ja so einige weitere Dateimanager für Android , mit welchen weiteren habt Ihr Erfahrung und könnt sie empfehlen?

@mobilsicher die Liste ist gut, aber leider nicht mehr ganz auf dem aktuellen Stand.
Das betrifft v.a. die #SimpleMobileTools , zu dem Ihr ja selbst schreibt (s. Tastatur-Artikel): "Simple Mobile Tools können wir nicht mehr empfehlen (Januar 2024). Die ehemals freie App wurde an einen Werbevermarkter verkauft. Unter dem Namen Fossify soll ein freier Nachfolger entstehen, der aber noch in Entwicklung ist."

Jakby ktoś tęsknił za aplikacjami z serii #simple to mam dobrą wiadomość.
Wygląda na to, że powstał projekt, który przejął te aplikacje i coś z nimi robi. Wrzucone są także na #fdroid , więc wygląda, jakby to było coś poważniejszego.
Fossify has forked the entire suite of Simple Mobile Tools after the original was acquired by ZipoApps, known for acquiring existing apps and bloating them with ads, subscriptions, etc. (Their TrustPilot reviews are an interesting mix of 5-stars from devs who sold them their apps, and 1-stars from customers complaining about unauthorized charges.)
The forked apps are starting to make their way into F-Droid - so far the calendar, file manager and gallery.
I seem to be over a month late on this, but apparently #SimpleMobileTools has been sold and their apps now have ads, and it's unclear if they'll remain open source at all?

Friendly heads up - Simple Mobile Tools was sold to ZipoApps¹, a company known for adding ads and privacy-invasive stuff. Their reputation is bad enough F-Droid preemptively turned off automatic updates², and the community has moved on to the Fossify organization, including Fossify Gallery³.
It's unfortunate folks didn't step up to help before the sale⁴, but ah well - progress has been made now.
Seufz. Die #SimpleMobileTools, eine Sammlung an kostenlosen, einfach gehaltenen, werbefreien Apps sind vom Hauptentwickler Tibor Kaputa an ZipoApps, eine Art "App-Heuschrecke", verkauft worden. Die nächsten Updates werden wohl Tracker und Abofallen liefern.
