This puts the kibosh on social media attempts to hold famous folk accountable for their jet-related CO2 emissions, although @thrillist reports that a new study provides some insight into the worst celebrity polluters. Here's more.
@blterrible Jack Sweeney is the best-known of the plane-spotters. He has the dubious honor of Elon Musk banning him from Twitter and threatening to sue him, and received a cease-and-desist letter from Taylor Swift. He has already said that this law won't stop him — his full statement is here: https://grndcntrl.net/pdf/?file=/docs/HR3935_Thoughts.pdf

A few days ago I presented a photo of the footpath leading down into the natural entrance of the caverns. Here is a view looking into the large chamber. This was before the conversion to all LED lighting which is supposed to be quite nice.

In January 1956, 20-year-old Joy Fox was nursing a broken heart, so she sold her engagement ring, left her home in the small riverside town of Wivenhoe, England, and set off on adventure. A mashup of croissants and chocolate-chip cookies, it was created by Stéphane Louvard of Boulangerie Louvard last year and went viral on TikTok last month (the bakery now sells 1,500 crookies a day, and 2,000 on Saturdays). The BBC explains more about the indulgent treat, as well as the history of the classic croissant.
