Rociada, west of Las Vegas, is a fusion of two villages, Upper and Lower Rociada. Other nearby communities, like Pendaries and Gascon, though technically in Mora County, also use the Rociada postal address.

Meet RUSTY.

Best thing I’ve seen in a while. Of course it’s in . At the entrance to a hiking trail. The idea is when you return to your car after a hike, you pour any unused water from your water bottles into Rusty’s mouth and, well, he “pees” it onto the young tree, to water it.

I love the little details, like the hex nuts as Rusty’s toes on his paws.

Bravo. And woof!

Don't send your kids to Farmington (NM). That school district had personnel rip the Native American headdress off of an student who was graduating from school. Protecting Native American headgear at graduations is a priority supported by both parties. Governor Doug Ducey signed a measure into law. Elections matter. It is time for Ranked Choice Voting so that extremists don't hijack our schools. https://azmirror.com/2024/05/17/navajo-leaders-outraged-after-an-indigenous-students-tribal-regalia-was-removed-at-her-graduation/

El Malpais National Monument | The jagged, desolate landscape is a volcanologist’s playground. A million years of volcanic activity sculpted the landscape. Numerous volcanoes and lava flows generated the field. The most recent volcanic activity was about 800 years ago.

Story-wise, this new show could have been set anywhere in the United States. However, I keep returning to the Land of Enchantment for the beautifully cinematic landscape and to continue working with the best crew ever. Given that Trump has made it clear he wants Big Oil to finance him as ends democracy and anything we've ever done to fight climate change, this is a good time to say:

I'm looking for one person tonight to help me flip both statehouses in Arizona, the smartest political donation you can make in 2024.

@lolgop I happily donated, just now. I agree with you about the importance of to the country as a whole. And, now that I live in , I have a more personal reason to want to see the Arizona legislature flipped blue. I’d love for Arizona to join New Mexico as a hub of democracy and progressivism in the U.S. southwest. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to join in.
