@grmpyprogrammer@heiglandreas You might want to check out #wezTerm by our friend @wez - cross platform, configurable (using lua for config), and Wez is highly unlikely to ever integrate AI features. 😁
@thelinuxcast Is the gtk requirement because you're on Gnome? I use #wezterm, but I don't think it uses gtk or qt (I might be wrong). It's a real winner if you're looking for theming and customization.
A couple weeks ago, I tried #wezterm again, and I was so pleasantly surprised by its snappiness that I decided to make it my main choice when opening a terminal, and I have no regrets.
I used to use a lot of iTerm2's special features (like overlays), but I don't anymore, and wezterm feels really good.
Dubious milestone reached: today I turned off github issue notifications for #wezterm.
There have been too many to stay on top of for some time, so it's past time to stop pretending that my notifications inbox is my wezterm triage list. It's just not possible to work that way any longer.
I'm shifting to time-boxed reviews of the issue list instead.
does anyone have a cute terminal theme they like? (ideally with a good contrast ratio) I've been trying to adapt @sailorhg's delightful fairyfloss (https://sailorhg.github.io/fairyfloss/) to work in the terminal but haven't quite figured it out yet
