We're looking to find a new home for our Xtracycle if anybody in the Boulder biking community is looking for a nice cargo bike.

It's a great long-tail cargo bike for hauling kids and groceries, but it doesn't fit our current needs.

Xtracyle seems to have shifted entirely over to making eBikes, so if you're looking for the non-electric cargo bike experience, this is a fantastic option.

Another DIY project completed. We now have an infrared panel for heating in the bathroom.
There's already a heat pump to provide warmth downstairs for our living areas. IR seems like an ideal way to add a little bit of immediate supplementary heat in the bathroom. A bathroom does not need to be heated all the time, it only needs to feel reasonably warm when you're in there.
Holes drilled, electrics rearranged (slightly dodgy connection made by the previous owner found an eradicated) and it's good to go.

Picking up the IR heating panel from a DIY store. It's on the Xtracycle, which is ideal for transporting longer than usual loads. There's also a length piece of ducting on the bike which pokes out behind the IR panel.
The lower mounting holes for the heater are over tiles on the wall, but the upper holes go into the wall above the tiles. Therefore to mount the IR panel upright on the wall I needed two spacers. A few minutes with FreeCAD and I had an STL file on an SD card to fit into my little Velleman Vertex 3D printer. This thing works really well. Truly excellent value when on sale for just €60 last May.

Rack design accessibility? A-

Rack spacing from each other? A+

Rack siting relative to barriers? D (It'd be an F but at least you can use one side of the rack).

This building (Fire Station 70, Richmond, CA, USA) was dedicated in 2019. It's the 21st century and we're still getting horrible car-centrist decisionmaking re active transport. @fedibikes

@glightly I had to go find a picture with the lock in it, from last year. The lock will just go around the wheel, frame, and staple if I line the x up with the staple leg. Handlebars are about 24in wide, so that point would need to be at least 12in out, if I could get parallel to it.

@SRLevine asks about sidewalk finds, which I probably take advantage of more often that necessary:

Q4. Do you have suggestions for a cute hashtag for stuff found on the road (or in free piles) while biking? The best ones I got were TwoWheelThriftShop and ReduceReuseReBicycle, maybe something inclusive of other cycle types?

(added by me: And if what's something awesome that you've picked up from a free pile while riding?)

Current state of the "" / setup, if the kids' bike tire wedges into the cargo rails, you don't need to strap it at the bottom. It's best with 3 good points of contact on the wheel and the fork to be able to pivot. Experimenting on this strut/compression bit: the white PVC won't survive outside, going to be grey, but needs a different arrangement of the strap to draw tight, (and some rubber on the ends?)

Today's parcels on their way to the post office.
I took a slight detour through a park to cycle in the shadow of some trees, but on the way I spotted these pigs who preferred to bath in the sun.
Anyway, today ten customers were sent email notifications and they'll receive their bike parts in a few days.

A view of the pigs enjoying sun-bathing. They have shelter and water, but they're just lying there absorbing the rays.

Other photos from last week.
I had more cumbersome parcels to send, and then I had to pick up some wood from a DIY store at the other end of the city.

The same bike loaded with wood. I've got a sheet 1.2 m long on one side and some 2.7 m long rods which poke out well past the back even of this longer than average bike.
