I finally got my Langholzschlepper built and took it out for an inaugural test mission today. Constructed mostly from scrap/street lumber and two rehabilitated dog-trailer wheels. This load of lumber is just 2m but I can extend the tow-bar to haul wood up to 4m long. Works pretty well!
Seeking volunteers for 2-hr shifts with BikeLoudPDX.

Unbelievable curbside find today on my way home from a lovely solo breakfast. I’m sure 2yo will like it fine, but this is the Barbie Dreamhouse of my dreams.
The neighbor who helped me load it up said it’d been sitting there for a few days, but I couldn’t bear to leave it for 10 minutes to go home to get a different vehicle in case it got snatched up by someone else. Turns out I didn’t have to!!
OK lads, I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm thinking of bringing this HP ScanJet 3300 on a bike ride uphill in Montréal tomorrow, possibly my first entry into #CarryShitOlympics. It's padded by some small towels, "secured" by 2x3 bungee stretch cords. Doesn't seem to move when I shake the bike.
Do you think it might hold, or am I better off just putting the scanner in a blue IKEA bag (or sturdy grocery bag) hanging on one of the sides of the handlebar, or in a backpack (it does fit)? 🤔
Trying to think of ways to buy and transport a 20ft 2x4 1.5 miles without a car, bet I can get pretty creative but don’t want to find out it’s impossible at the lumberyard.
Review: 7/10, much amusement from the yard staff, plenty of help getting it all tied up. Rode slow and easy about halfway then the board started to consistently work itself out of the front strap as the dolly encountered resistance.
Walking it the rest of the way to deal with a few turns and serious crosswalks.

We'll start out with our introduction:
Q1. Where are you posting from today? Have you experienced or thought about any cycle-related milestones lately? Past, present, or future. Number of trips, distance, location, type of ride, etc?
@ascentale A1. Oregon, USA. I just got back from the second lumber haul with my custom cargo bike trailer. I'd estimate this at around 200 lbs, maybe up to 220 (90-100 kg). That's getting close to the limit of what I'm comfortable with.
I also want to do some bike camping this summer, which I've never done before.
Aufregende Woche! Erst multimodal mit #Bahn und #Fahrrad von #Berlin nach Ludwigsburg, heute standesgemäßer Transport des Materials unseres Stands zum #FDP#Parteitag 😅
First day doing a full grocery shop with all four panniers on the bike! I also found the absolute best way to do the shopping by attaching them to the cart! The lady bagging at the checkout line thanked me for making things so easy when I wheeled the cart over to her and asked me who made bags designed to go on grocery carts because she wanted some!
Ah, this would make a good portable table for Parks On The Air #hamradio or maybe just for some plants out on the back patio. Checking off "brought back furniture on bicycle". #BikeTooter#cycling
Just needs a bit of cleaning and will re-oil this, great condition but dirty. Simple green and a bit of scrubbing should do it, then a coat of either linseed oil or teak oil. Also should have also marked that as #CarryShitOlympics
