Si vous connaissez de bons sites web, blogs ou forums qui partagent des bonnes références de périphériques #domotique , ça m'évitera de générer des déchets électroniques inutiles en achetant des bouses. D'avance merci ^^
It's been two months since I got my #RaspberryPi and I won't lie, everything is still so exciting. I get so happy when I do stupid little things like upgrade my #Zigbee dongle without everything breaking. Honestly, #SelfHosting is a beautiful world. Though it's all down to how kind and helpful everyone is. I'm super grateful for the tremendous communities behind #HomeAssistant, #Docker, #JellyFin, #Navidrome, #Immich and obviously #Mastodon and #Lemmy.
Improved drag 'n drop in automations, the proximity of persons, custom Assist responses, export your data, Zigbee firmware updates, Matter diagnostics and actions, icons everywhere, and much more!
Despite working in the electronics field, I never really got into #smarthome stuff. But lately I have been trying out #homeassistant and was excited that a friend from Chicago Meetups, @kbx81, has been working at #NabuCasa on the #esphome project.
I spoke with Keith about how to get started as a beginner in the field, but then also how to put some custom electronics to work in a #homeautomation context. I was impressed with how fast I could add a #zigbee device to my HA
FFS... My #Zigbee antenna was dangling between the data cabinet and some racking (i.e. around loads of metal). So I "tidied" it into the loft space above the data cabinet... ...and the link quality has gone down.
(But it seems to be working... Not sure how to interpret LQI - it was 66, now 53 and some Googling suggests anything under 100 is shit. The device and coordinator aren't far apart so no particular reason to think that it should be shit)
If I sold my house today. I feel like I need to leave behind instruction manual with network diagrams and information on zigbee devices. I have no intentions of selling soon. But this keeps crossing my mind anytime I work on my homelab or home automation #homeautomation#zigbee#homelab
could someone, smarter than me, tell me why my Sonoff zigbee usb dongle is detected but will not work in a RaspberryPi USB3 port, but works fine in a USB2 port.
When plugged into USB3 port Zigbee2Mqtt sees it but will not find or connect to any zigbee devices or find any new devices. moving it to USB2 fixes it.
Im curious if its the dongle, the RPi, something with USB3, both? I dont have much hardware debugging experience to know where to look #raspberrypi#usb#zigbee#zigbee2mqtt
Anyone got any experience with #Zigbee ? Is there anything I should know when deciding between #Zigbee2MQTT and #ZHA ? Are they both fine, or are there compatibility concerns, etc?
I've had my eye on this #ESP32 kit from #LilyGo for a while now but haven't purchased it because the device didn't have a back cover. Well, now they're selling them with a full shell!
It's basically an ESP32 #FlipperZero at this point and I am here for it. (Yes, I know it doesn't have all the Flipper's hardware features)
Zigbee Home was just released. Its like ESPHome but for Zigbee. So you will be able to create your own custom #Zigbee devices and easily integrate them with #HomeAssistant. Its in the early days but very cool indeed.
> "Zigbee Home firmware project aims to provide similar functionality to ESPHome open-source firmware, but for Zigbee devices. The firmware should eventually enable a range of Zigbee devices to be flashed with open-source firmware and facilitate integration with Home Assistant open-source home automation."
When you hit the button, it broadcasts to the house that someone needs help in the upstairs bathroom. It has a genuine use, though: our toddler sometimes needs help in the potty, and this makes it so they don’t have to yell. Plus… Internet of Shit… it was too good to pass up.
IKEA had these on sale for like $6, and despite the #InternetOfShit meme, it’s actually handled entirely locally. Yay, #HomeAssistant and #Zigbee!
