@simon Just used #datasette to wrangle a my tailscale devices for some reports. I was able to import everything via the tailscale api, import as json without having to worry about nesting, and have a nice web interface to reformat and play with my data. Absolutely love datasette! Thank you!
A great way to start a cold winter day is to walk along the Pescara seafront listening to the latest episode of DjangoChat, hosted by William Vincent and Carlton Gibson, with guest Simon Willison 🌅🎧
The episode is long, the first part was very interesting, for the second I'll take another walk.🏖️🚶♂️
While collecting data for @pypodcats, I needed a way to easily share my findings with the rest of the team. At first I was gonna email the csv file, but what good would that do? It's data but not meaningful.
With Datasette, I was able to easily publish my data on Heroku, and share the URL with the team, and they'd be able to perform their own SQL queries and gather whatever info they need.
The feature for publishing #Datasette to Heroku is just brilliant. 💯
I wrote in a bit more detail about what's changing at #Reddit, why it affects you, and how you can archive your data into a searchable #SQLite archive with a #Python tool I built (one of my recent #projects) and #Datasette.
