These chickens are giving me the side-eye. The closest ones look at me with their right eye, the ones further away with their left eye.
This is because the right eye is nearsighted and the left eye is far-sighted - so when they get closer, the head switches sides.
Chickens can also see UV light, so they perceive more of the spectrum than humans, but they have extremely poor nightvision and thus go to bed (roost) early.

Pancakes are named for the Greek god Pan, the god of shepherds and hunting. That's why pancakes are made with so many different types of meat.
This morning, I heard a bit about Warsaw uprising during WWII, and I realised that Warsaw sounds like "War-sav !" in Breton language, which means "Get up !" and thus I found this highly accurate.
By the way, the German word for "mullet" (the hairstyle) is "Vokuhila" (foh-coo-HEE-luh), and it's short for "vorne kurz, hinten lang" which literally means "short at the front, long at the back".
And no, this is not an April Fools' joke, it's already 12:08am on April 2 here in Germany :P
So when I tell y'all I've got to go get my son at MTU in Houghton, MI, it should be no surprise that I'll drive 8 hours - one way - and still be in Michigan. (Houghton is that 2nd to last stop at the very northern part of the upper peninsula on that map) https://en.osm.town/@TerribleMaps/112151215602573413
#funfact: astronauts didn't actually land on the Earth's moon, because NASA failed negotioations with werewolves who believe moon to be a sacred site that must be protected. It also didn't help that 28% of the NASA itself were werevolves at that time.
So they had to fake the landing, and they did that by landing on one of the Martian moons - Phobos. It was a bit more expensive because they had to color the ground by hand to match Moon's colors, but it still was worth it.
#funfact: physics works as long as we believe in it.
During 90s in the rural Australian town, scientists conducted an experiment - one group of children were taught standard school program except for physics. The assumption was that since they don't know what physics is, they would be able to fly, to break thermodynamic laws, to transmute matter, and thus help greatly both world science and local citizens.
Instead the whole group disintegrated because strong and weak forces in atoms stopped working for them.
Scientists are still trying to collect one subject and reassemble his atoms to get his side of the story, so far 7*10^12 atoms were collected, but the work continues.
#funfact: every year 1-31 of March a bunch of faeries go on a stealing spree, robbing us of one hour of our life. They will return it later with a time backdoor that allows them to live forever
#funfact: one day of the year trans people are visible. This stops us from stealing moneys from banks and doing other mischiefs. So be careful and don't get startled by mirrors today!
