Is anyone here working with #datacube? I have been experimenting the xvec zonal_stats between a xarray and a Geopandas.Series, which returns a xarray with geometry and time as coodinates.
I couldn't get how coud I plot the results.
Anyone could help me, please? #GISChat
Thanks to @geopandas team for providing a great example setup.
The last thing missing are some rewrites of paths to allow seamless switching to previous versions. If anyone understands the sphinx magic involved, any help would be highly appreciated.
Today, I took ChatGPT's Data Analyst for a spin. You've probably seen the fancy advertising videos: just drop in a dataset and AI does all the analysis for you?! Let's see ...
We’re delighted to announce continued flagship-level sustaining membership of QGIS from @felt. Felt’s contributions enable us to continuously improve QGIS’ functionality, documentation, and infrastructure.
Felt continues to enhance the 'Add to Felt' plugin, making it seamless to get #QGIS maps on the web. With @northroadgeo's help, their recent release includes raster data support & improved compatibility between QGIS & #Felt styles!
Here is an update on what I'm working on. #buildinpublic
I'm exploring auto styling #OGC Vectortiles in #mapstyler. In this example, the population density is styled based on a user defined color. Very happy with these first results.
I'm just not sure about the map readability of this implementation. The coloring scheme is of course dependent on the distribution of the data. So I guess additional options for categorization of the data are needed.
Wondering whether anyone in my #gischat#eochat#geospatial network knows of any good tutorials for downloading and processing #Overture data using Python?
Also, I'm looking at xcube as a way of generating data cubes using STAC - is this a sensible approach?
New Trajectools 2.1 and MovingPandas 0.18 releases
Today marks the 2.1 release of #Trajectools for #QGIS. This release adds multiple new algorithms and improvements. Since some improvements involve upstream #MovingPandas functionality, I recommend to also update MovingPandas while you're at it.
AGU has funding to help "faculty from typically under-resourced institutions, such as Emerging Research Institutions (ERIs), Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), and community colleges (2YCs)" attend this year's Fall meeting!
The #foss4gna call for participation is going to be officially announced soon. We're gonna have presentations, workshops, and posters! What are you thinking about submitting? #gischat#academicsky#geosky
It's my pleasure to share with you that #Trajectools 2.0 just landed in the official #QGIS Plugin Repository. This is the first version without the "experimental" flag. If you look at the plugin release history, you will see that the previous release was from 2020. That's quite a while ago, and a lot has happened since…
@underdarkGIS your tool is also proving handy in looking at GPS/GNSS spoofing affecting AIS. This is not final, but shows any one hour trajectories in the Black Sea with a speed over 15 knots in red). Positions are being spoofed onto land to the airport of Crimea’s capital. #gischat
