If there was an element that changes it's content when users interact with other elements on the page, what name would it have?

PLEASE NOTE: I am not suggesting that this element needs to exist; I am only asking what it would be called. I'm building a CustomElement, I just want it to have a name that makes sense.

Vote and suggest others in replies. Please boost for reach!

Round 2; because I've gotten some good suggestions

This <HTML> element updates itself with the result of an HTTP request that some other element on the page made. It can replace, append or prepend it's contents.

What should it be called?

Round 3:

An <HTML> element that updates with the result of an HTTP request that some other element on the page made.

Links and forms inside it may be changed so that they only update this element instead of the whole page; similarly to Hotwire: TurboFrames https://turbo.hotwired.dev/handbook/frames

What's the drama?

For the record: I never used TypeScript so far in my Javascript / front-end work so I'm totally fine with this choice. A choice which makes Turbo more future-proof imo.

Figured out how to this new outdoor . 5V to the right place turns on the compressor/fan. But no convenient AC or power supply for the ITC1000 controller, only 5V up here in front.

Lots of nice and interesting discussions happening on the « PyHAT » stack repos after . 1 / 2

florimond,

The web dev community has been experimenting with « HTML over the wire » / « Hypermedia driven applications » for the past year, with tools like or .

It looks like we are entering a coalescence / convergence phase, with practices and common solutions arising. The era of SPA hegemony is ending… Folks are settling on simpler stacks for the 90% of use cases when SPAs are overkilled and HTML-first apps + modest sprinkles of JS for interactivity is well enough. 2 / 2
