I still love this art I did back in 2012, of Miyara mid-transformation into Eternal Ara! Sometimes I look at art where I know I leveled up and go "man, why can't I draw like that anymore" :zerotwoevillaugh:
I did this for an Anime Iowa art showcase, iirc. I swore off the con after my first and only booth but I entered this showcase. I wasn't...expecting much, but it would have been nice to get something, if it did. Maybe like some comments getting back to me or something but that never happened.
Instead, most of the prizes ended up going to one person 🤣 It got to the point where even the forums got in a little tickle discussion about it...I remember folks pointing out the oddity of one person winning almost everything, and asking for reasons. I could have guessed myself based on my own experience, but it was nice to see I wasn't alone in feeling blah about the whole thing.
I don't remember if the showcase happened again, since I stopped paying attention to anything Anime Iowa after that ^^;
Hallo! I'm NAAN and I'm a Puerto Rican comicker! I love linguistics, languages and I follow the Mister Ed philosophy. I usually work on "Legendary Beings Ara & Celi," which is about a young girl, Miyara, chosen to become the successor to Ara, Angel of the Universe -- it's only too bad Miyara doesn't want the job or to do anything with Ara!
Currently on hiatus for some time due to Life Happenings the past few years but I hope to come back to it between this year and the next! (monkey's paw's curls somewhere)
I also work on other stuff, including two other stories such as a fictional band concept and short stories!
These get updated when they're updated. (The Warchick one should get a rehaul eventually next year.)

Heyo, I'm K a #queer#canadian#cartoonist who makes comics about #MagicalGirls who don't socially distance and end up infecting their school with magic powers.
After a few episodes, I can say that - within the genre - it's doing a lot of great work to introduce kids to the subsaharan cultures, languages, aesthetics. I'm glad it's translated to a lot of languages!

That's right, Aradia Collective has its new site now! Still a couple of things to handle (applications are still closed, sorry!), but we hope you enjoy perusing through our new home!
I'm Chris and I'm bad at social media, in that most of the talking to online people I do is in DMs--i.e. rarely ever public. So I guess my main New Year's resolution is to work on that.
I enjoy sci-fi like #StarTrek and #StarWars, as well as #anime, #MagicalGirls, and #GenshinImpact. I anticipate posting/boosting that sort of thing and/or whatever else catches my fancy here, while trying to keep the mood here generally positive.
