Just found out about these "electric wood pellet" grills. I have ptsd from fire so propane is out, even charcoal I'm a bit iffy on, this seems like a nice balance of taste, grill marks (oddly important), and ease...I hope?
Never heard of 'em before so I have no idea if there are gotchas
Even if living alone, appreciate the effort friend puts when she sits down for a meal - serving each dish in a bowl/plate. For comparison, yours truly puts them all in one plate "...too much hassle and dishes to wash".
Well hell, my burger buns molded at record pace (I swear delivery intentionally gives you the closest stuff to expiring), I guess I'm having burger sandwiches today
They were good anyway, damn it. First time using the griddlerTM worked really well. Hard to eyeball doneness, I gave it an extra minute after this first shot, it was probably already fine though. IT has a sear function I probably should have used to get the proper browning but...ended up covered in cheese anyway
The tomato plants stayed inside due to the return of freezing weather and are now overdue for replanting in the greenhouse.
Made shashlik. It was super tasty due to the apple wood from a previous pruning. Makes a big difference in flavour, although it's trickier to use than charcoal.
Environmentally sustainable plant-based dishes in restaurants and cafes?
"Occasionally ordering a plant-based meal instead of a meat dish can greatly reduce the environmental footprint of the global food system. Animal agriculture accounts for 56% of food-related greenhouse gas emissions but produces only 18% of calories and 37% of protein."
"This means a family of four ordering plant-based meat burgers instead of beef patties saves carbon emissions equal to driving from Brisbane to the Gold Coast."
made burgs. ...can't really see them but they've got pepper and jalapeno in 'em. They were really good! Juicy, probably didn't need the second slice of cheese.
Nothing fancy but I'm trying to get myself making at least something almost every day to work back into 'real' meals.
I can do the Hello Fresh recipes and they're great but getting in the mood just crushes me and then the ingredients are rotten. baby steps
