Twitter is threatening to sue Meta over its Threads platform. In a letter obtained by Semafor, Twitter lawyer Alex Spiro accused the company of engaging in "systematic, willful, and unlawful misappropriation of Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property" and said that Meta had hired dozens of former Twitter employees who had access to confidential information. Meta's communications director says the accusations are baseless.
Threads already has more than 30 million users, but that doesn’t mean it’s sure to displace Twitter.
We shouldn’t forget Meta is a terrible company with a long history of spreading right-wing propaganda. Plus, if Threads succeeds, it will be filled with targeted ads just like Facebook and Instagram are now. We can do better.
@MonaApp just a little observation if I may regarding VoiceOver and mona.
I have turned off content warnings because I don’t want them on but unfortunately, VoiceOver will still read the content warning before reading the post so for example, if I turn off content warnings and then go to read the post with the warning of something like may mention pancakes, I get something like this.
"jonhsmith@mona.mone content warning may mention pancakes., I love pancakes.
Is there anything you can do once content warnings have been disabled to stop VoiceOver reading them?
Thanks for any help. #voiceover#mac#blind#tech
Another week and once again sending batches of CVs trying to get a job. Everyone tells me I’m in the right path, that I have good skills, I know English and the market has a lot of opportunities. But I’ve been trying for months and couldn’t get even a single interview. Am I doing this all wrong or what?
I’m so frustrated that I almost going back to college. (But everyone says diplomas are irrelevant for IT and stuff)
