Another well thought through blog post here from Tom Murphy.

Basically, everything we think we can do in a manner probably isn't sustainable.

Where do we go from here ?

Rape and murder are bad.

The end.

I’m looking at a lot of comments that disturb me

People saying they are against rape and murder one day—but the next day it’s acceptable because it’s against someone they don’t like?

If you have to add “but” or “well ackshually” to condemning violence then you never had any morals at all

Unfollow me.

@flexghost My previous post should in no way be interpreted to excuse the carnage's perps because they're 'broken people. What this reveals to me is the shitty leadership in Israel, how that shitty RIGHTWING leadership has oppressed and destroyed Palestine, and the inevitability of choosing a terror group to lead them as a result.

More , we need to be aware of the deceit & expose the companies that're repsonsible: Plastic recycling is a con: New investigation finds US plastic drop-off program 12,000 retail locations and 500 brands in the US has been putting packaging into landfills. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2023-09-29/us-store-drop-off-plastic-recycling-often-ends-up-in-landfills?leadSource=uverify%20wall

antigravy,

@KimPerales
In general only about 9% of recyclables make it into the recycling stream.

Any society that values profit and property over people's wellbeing is doomed to fail. An Economic system that requires infinite growth on a planet with finite resources can not work.

Did you know that 5.8 million tonnes of textiles are thrown away every year, nearly 11 kilos per person?

We endorse the European Commission’s proposal to make producers responsible for the full lifecycle of textile products and to support the sustainable management of textile waste across the EU.

The fees collected will help boost reuse & repair sectors, so let's make sustainable fashion trends the new norm! 👗

It is hard to keep up with all the actions at the moment. Here is the latest Australian one - 'In an Australian first, Australian Parents for Climate Action (AP4CA) has filed a claim in the Federal Court of Australia against EnergyAustralia for misleading over 400,000 consumers about the climate impact of its products.

https://www.nationaltribune.com.au/australian-parents-for-climate-action-sue-energyaustralia-for-greenwashing/

AP4CA alleges that EnergyAustralia is misleading customers by marketing its Go Neutral product as “carbon neutral” and having “a positive impact on the environment” when it is primarily generated by burning fossil fuels, which the company claims to have “offset” simply by buying carbon credits.'

Otherwise this is jist 100% avoidable that is given that a metric ton of salt had to be filtered just to get the for a single .

With conditions worsened by , this terrible haze likely won’t be the last we’ll have to choke on in this year. Goes to show it’s one very small, connected planet. There’s no good escape for anyone, only change to our reckess and consumerist lifestyle that must happen sooner, not later.

Industrial civilization has created a world where entire forests are destroyed and transported around the world on ships to be consumed or used in power stations as "green" energy. The system is completely unsustainable.
