So I just got my ESP32-S3-Box-3, flashed it with #ESPHome#voiceassistant for #homeassistant , set up the pipeline with #NabuCasa cloud and the results were.. not great. When it works, it's fine. But it's way too crashy at the moment to be usable unfortunately.
Nothing showing up in the device logs. I added a heartbeat logger just to prove the device itself wasn't crashing. It often completes a task, then sits there with the "speaking house" image on the screen and doesn't accept a subsequent command. I need to reboot it. Any tips, folks?
Did I get that right, that Home Assistant is only usable* with HACS which is only usable with a Microsoft Account (github)? Any workarounds?
*every tutorial I have been checking referred to HACS at some point.
I am interested in controlling Teufel Raumfeld devices with M5stack Atom Echo devices and installed voice assistant. But it feels not right to do this with a MS product.
I set Home Assistant voice assist as my default on my phone, I'm super impressed with the speed! There's a way to go with the sentence recognition (which I could improve myself or wait for someone smarter to do it). I'm really excited for this project, I have no doubt it'll end up in hardware form and be a fully configurable, privacy conscious voice assistant. #homeassistant#homeautomation#voice#voiceassistant#tts#android
I just watched the latest LTT Techquickie about Cortana. I was a Windows Phone user briefly. I had a cheap Nokia Lumia and went to the 950.
Does anyone know what happened to Cortana between Windows Phone prior and the Windows 10 Phone update?
Cortana was actually really good prior and the Win 10 phone update took a big step backward. I'd love to know the story behind how MS bungled that one.
