So I'm currently toying around with NeoCities, and decided to trial it by building your classic mid '90s Geocities/Tripod/Angelfire pastiche website.
Some of the most important elements are already in place.
Tile background? Large font? Heading in bright pink with a shadow? Unusual colour choices? Random cat gifs? Under construction gif? Check! Check! Check!
In the true spirit of the '90s DIY web, some more pages (including the links page) are coming soon.
(I'm thinking of adding a page dedicated to either Britney or a nu-metal band.)
I have discovered cloaks, and I am going nuts making them. I have bought so much fabric in the past few days alone. They are so warm and so easy to make! However, I would like to make one that suits the purpose for which they were invented, so that I may wear it outside in the rain. Are there any good waterproof fabrics that won't fuck up my fiancée's #sewing machine?
When I google “waterproof fabric,” there are a lot of canvas materials and some polyester ones that come up. Waterproof canvas would be good, but good have to make sure the machine can handle heavy materials - some can, some can’t.
How do people feel about image manipulation with AI? I'm not great with Krita (and even worse with photoshop) but am getting better with stable diffusion!
I bet you'll get different opinions (if you get much response), but personally I think manipulating images with AI is cool, and I love seeing it, but I don't think it belongs here. It would be like someone submitting a photograph to a forum for still life paintings. It's just a different skill being highlighted.
I'd subscribe to a community for AI generated/manipulated images, even though I don't create any.
