@msquebanh Hrmm, I was not aware of the 2nd account; I just know he shows up in my friend's replies once every 2-3 weeks fronting left, but arguing for largely liberal positions. He also likes to lead with VERY insulting condescension and then cry about language when folks tell him to FRO.

(To be clear, I blocked that account after the very first reply in MY mentions; but that isn't particularly special - I do that a lot.)

As a related aside; I'm NGL, I actually LIKE that there's a much more internationalist perspective out here on the fedi, because like I dunno if you've noticed, but the place I'm from is currently rolling around in overtly fascist ideology, mainstream or otherwise, right about now and some of you people from places that aren't openly getting your Reich on are helping to keep me from absolutely tossing my spaghetti.

Unrelated to anything important but I follow several people who post in multiple languages and I honestly don't understand why "seeing a post I don't understand" is an actual issue for people - almost always, English-speaking people. Maybe the post isn't for you? Maybe if your curiosity must be satisfied, you can just dump that shit into Google Translate like I do at least 3 times a day? But it really says a lot about YOU that this makes you angry/frustrated.

I didn't pay attention to who shared this on my timeline, and I'm sorry for that, but this was one of the better things I've read in years - it's about neorealism, misogyny, reactionary thought and why the popular Three-Body Problem series and its "Dark Forest" hypothesis are feeding into a rightward shift towards authoritarian/hyper-masculine ideology in China and abroad (including here) and man, it's a banger. @coffeepine People have a real hard time believing me when I say "I do not care if you understand" because Americans say this a lot, but don't mean it. The thing is, I really don't. I don't use social media for the same reason most other people do.

I mean, you were not "hoping for a discussion." You were in my replies to defend Roh by bringing up that some white queers are bad too; I saw you coming a mile away and didn't give you the time of day.

Politely, the middle of an ongoing pogrom against trans people, primarily trans women, across the entire Pig Empire, is not an appropriate time to have a discussion about why some transfemmes are bad/racist. Nor is it an acceptable reply when I'm talking about false accusations from a transphobe.

For clarity, because it came up; this picture is just cropped funny - the soldier is sitting on what appears to be a children's chair with very thin legs that you can't see in the photo. It's definitely not a photoshop, it was reported in the Times of Israel (a paper that is no friend to Palestinians) and the IDF/IOF has said they're investigating. You can find better versions online, but again - not in major western newspapers because we're all in on covering up for a US-backed genocide.
