Embracer CEO Is Full Of Excuses Excrement

Uptick in toxic behaviour/players lately

I’ve been playing since about a month after release and have since reached lvl 81 (just to show I put in quite a lot of game time since I started). In my first month of play I came across ONE single griefer who TK’d people on purpose. Considering I’d played hundreds of games I thought this game was a shining example of a...

I like the final fantasy 14 method where in a four-player dungeon, you have to vote kick, it’s not controlled only by the host.

It almost seems like someone did a linear regression, when a logistic regression model would be more appropriate.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek surprised by how much laying off 1,500 employees negatively affected the streaming giant’s operations (fortune.com)

When Spotify announced its largest-ever round of layoffs in December, CEO Daniel Ek hailed a new age of efficiency at the streaming giant. But four months on, it seems he and his executives weren’t prepared for how tough filling in for 1,500 axed workers would be....

Windows 11 Start menu ads are now rolling out to everyone (www.theverge.com)

Microsoft is starting to enable ads inside the Start menu on Windows 11 for all users. After testing these briefly with Windows Insiders earlier this month, Microsoft has started to distribute update KB5036980 to Windows 11 users this week, which includes “recommendations” for apps from the Microsoft Store in the Start menu....

I installed pop os and libre office on my wife’s laptop not long after Pop was released, and by now I don’t think she would know what to do on Windows or Mac. So proud of her.

An important distinction, for sure

Edit: this was not sarcasm, I honestly agree. Lemmy needs a not sarcasm tag.

No it isn’t, I agree. Are we at a place where we can afford to continue denying Ukraine on principles though? I hate the Israeli regime, and tiktok is fucking stupid, but if Ukraine falls, that will not be the end.

If I saw that on my car, I’m not sure I could restrain the urge to take a baseball bat to it

What's a band that has one album that is just about perfect in your opinion, but rest of their discography misses the mark with you?

One of mine is Commit This to Memory by Motion City Soundtrack. I basically took the title verbatim and know the album word for word. And while I would love if it did, the rest of MCS’s stuff just doesn’t hit the same way....

I’m trying to think which Lannister Trump is most like, and I got nothing, so I’m just going to say Sandor Clegane, post experiments.

‘He erased the entire project’ … the book Stanley Kubrick didn’t want anyone to read to be published (www.theguardian.com)

Stanley Kubrick, the relentless perfectionist who directed some of cinema’s greatest classics, was so sensitive to criticism that, in 1970, he threatened legal action to block publication of a book which dared to discuss flaws in his films....

Even if you put in a bogus user and pw three times? Not joking, that used to let you get a local account option.

Proxmox is a type 1 hypervisor. It’s amazing but not applicable here.

They’re like house cats. They like to think they are autonomous and in charge, but they have no fucking clue as to all of the logistics that go into making their existence possible.
