@academicchatter @koen_hufkens since I graduated from SFU last year and this is the first time I’m hearing about the program, maybe they need to do a better job of getting the word out. It’s not going to help people who don’t have access to it for a variety of reasons.

If you live in a country with Sushiro (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, China), count your blessings. Cheap Sushiro sushi is better than most high end sushi elsewhere! I miss Sushiro

@skinnylatte I have lived in China — and eaten sushi there — and I think Vancouver sushi holds up comparatively speaking. I’m no expert though. I just know what I like.

@skinnylatte I didn’t realize it was a chain. I went to one of those restaurants with the conveyor belt and it was a real treat bc I had only seen that in the movies. Oh, can also report that Iowa sushi is weird, at best.

I spent some time looking for jobs with ed tech companies, and you would be surprised to know there few to no education jobs. Lots of jobs for engineers but none for people with educational experience. Idk why this surprises me, but it does.

Nope.

On a week like this (with so many apps due Sep 15), you just don't have time. You have to trust that you already put in the work with your base template. It's a mental shift from fellowship apps.
