I hate making typos.

The other day, I accidentally made a typo in a post. I thought "Eh, not many people will see it anyway".

Today, Threads pushed out an update so I can now see how many views my posts get. Almost 8 million people have seen my big dumb typo. I will never mentally recover from this.

    Teri, I hope that I am not the cause or part of your distress over the law.

    A pure definition of DP: Due process of law is application by the state, of all legal rules and principles pertaining to a case so all legal rights that are owed to a person are respected.

    If setting requirements for holding the highest law in the land is a violation of DP, then so is setting any or all requirements for any public office!

    I should be threading all of this, but what makes the "he was just faithfully executing the laws" particularly absurd is that a president has nothing to do with elections.

    Nothing. That was intentional.

    It's the business of Congress, state governments, (and the courts to resolve disputes).

    That's because a president may be running for reelection.

    The drafters of the Constitution didn't think of everything, but they thought of that.

    Teri, what I can't understand is why other candidates for office and all other R* want to show such ignorance of our institutions. Our Supreme Court is tasked specifically with

    1. Interpreting the Constitution.
    2. Interpreting laws that Congress makes.

    The 14th Amendment § 3 is clearly a part of the Constitution and defines the qualifications required to be Prersident.

    Trump does not need a conviction, no more than being 35 years old or a natural born citizen!

    "Due Process" is not a consideration in this case Teri. It may be an argument to justify delay or not enforcing the 14th amendment but then I would need to ask if the Constitutional requirement for any candidate to be 35 years old or a naturalized citizen is an issue that deserves scrutiny because of "Due Process". Oh golly you are fun!

    Tsk tsk tsk! Such a ruling was enacted by Congress in 1961 but there was an exclusion for hookers!

    I always tried to book a flight with at lease one hooker and reserved a seat next to her. I always felt safe!
