After reading that fascinating "Overkill Home Network" post, I though I'd have a go at mapping out my modest effort.

Only about half-way through and it's clear it isn't quite as modest as I thought!

Hmmm... do I redesign the PCB, or do I just add this photo to the instructions and say "do this" 🤘😇

View of the same IC from the other side. Most of its legs have been removed. Just one is soldered to the IC below. The other points upwards. The end legs that are pointing up resemble the devils horn rock hand gesture 🤘

I’m used to Solidworks but I’m trying to give FreeCAD a chance. However it isn’t easy. Selecting lines or points, dimensioning etc. just seems way harder than it should be. No inference lines ☹️ Any beginner tips or suggested themes to help it feel “right”?

I buy a lot of small stuff from Ebay.

I didn't used to have many problems, but recently I've had a few (very cheap) items not arrive.

When I query them, I get an instant refund.

My gut feeling is they were never sent, and the seller is hoping you don't complain.

Anyone else seeing this.

    I think I'm going to setup a web site, with some form of secure login and email my bank that I have an important document for them to read.

    Once they have proved their identity with me, and gone though an account setup and 2FA, ideally using an obscure 2FA client, or a device they can only get from me, once they have applied.

    The important massage will probably be "Welcome to the online messaging platform"
