No apologies for the number of Long-tailed tit shots today. Its such a beautiful bird (and one of the only ones in range for me today).

Enjoy a Juvenile post preen.

Here is a young Long-tailed tit looking in my direction from a tree that had about 12 little ones preening themselves and gobbling bugs.

Run Rabbit Run..

I was sitting in a hide watching over a lake with very little activity going on, when 2 rabbits ran in front of the hide in a playful manner.

@ArnoJanBoere There are so many burrows close to this location. Pretty much guarantee seeing the rabbits at this time of year

I stumbled upon an Irish Band simply because they were named after a bird.

The band is Kingfishr and I got to say, quite stunning and cant stop listening to this song:

Let me know what you think or share your bird related tunes....

@punkhaiku you should let me have a link to the singer, I'll give it a listen too... Glad you liked the song.

@MikeH Love Free Bird and Albatross.

I'd add
High as a Kite - Kingmaker
Birdhouse in your soul - They Might be Giants
The Cormorant - Damon Albarn

Totally had the wrong speed settings for this photo (the bird in flight), but kinda like the result al the same.

This is a shot from the side of a lake looking back toward the pathway where some long grasses interrupt the view.

@Whiskeyomega my local, Summer Leys Northants

@Whiskeyomega :) The problem with having a longer lens, is you'll need a longer lens.
I moved from 24mp to 45.7mp camera. I can crop twice as much (as good as a longer lens). I uses a 400mm with a 1.4x (560mm at f6.4) but wish I had a 100-600

JimsPhotos,
@JimsPhotos@ohai.social avatar

@Whiskeyomega I could use a 50mm prime in a few weeks (i got my nieces wedding to attend). but year, second hand market should be good as people move from DSLR to Mirrorless, plenty of DSLR lenses out there

The Battle Part 2. - Reinforcements called.

The Graylag geese had strayed too near the Mute Swans domain and the Swan didn't take kindly to it

JimsPhotos,
@JimsPhotos@ohai.social avatar

@MikeH it was the Geese giving it the big one. The Swan hissed once and the geese waddled off. Graylag make a lot of noise but don't seem to have much bite..
