Decided to take a break from an extremely frustrating day of failing to really learn FreeCAD to chase around hiss and buzz in my ARP 2600.

Analog problems are at least on a gradient. I can probably filter or disguise most of the hiss and buzz I don’t want. That’s not the same as not being able to fucking rotate the fucking object.

• The conflict in Israel/Palestine is over resources, not religion. Jews & Palestinians BOTH have Palestine as a homeland because empires have been fucking us all for millennia.
• Jews were denied entry into every country when the chips were down.
• The conflict there is in the interest of empires & tyrannies — the US, EU, Russia, Iran, etc.
• Consider how much of your vitriol applies across all groups & ethnicities of Jews.

I’m working on a story that’s going really great.

The idea’s from probs 7 or 8 years ago when someone asked me a question about The BLOODY-HANDED NAME of BRONZE. They said they played a game with some friends, and they fought some skeletons, but then it sort of fell flat.

I asked, “What did the skeletons want?”

They said, “Whuuhh…Oh. ooOOHH!!!”

This story is about what the skeleton wants.

This took waaaay too long to solder together. Any errors here are soldering errors, not design errors. It works great in Falstad and the firmware is all humming along nicely.

The front, interface side of the board. It has a potentiometer on top for input along with three male and three female headers, a 3.5mm jack to take #eurorack inputs, and three level LEDs for reading the incoming voltage. The bottom is similar but instead of a potentiometer it has a DAC chip to take 12-bit values from plugdata and turn them into voltage levels.

Every week, I play Kerbal Space Program with my students. A couple of weeks ago, everything from students to computer weren't working, so I pivoted to playing with LEGO gears.

Once the computer was working, the kids didn't want to play video games anyway. They wanted to build stuff.

Little project tonight. So satisfying to just sit down and solder instead of hunting phantom digital bugs.
This is a #eurorack power supply to run a weird little rack made of modules I’ve built but never mounted (though I’ve messed with them separately).
Oscilloscope, additive folding oscillator, ring modulator, envelope generator, and a phaser. I want to add in a preamp and an envelope follower and it looks like there’s room in the ammo box for them! Might build them from a Ksoloti?
