@samuel hej finns det någon i din kooperativ som gör dataunderhåll? Jag vill hitta någon som kan skruva isär min bärbara och blåsa ut dammen åt mig för några hundralappar.
I'm almost impressed by how tenacious politicians can be when they want to pass oppressive legislation, but how ready they are to give up any and all attempts at passing liberating legislation.
"Chat control? Yeah, we'll try again and again and again until you're worn out from protesting and we can push it through.
Fair wages? Sorry, we really tried, once, but Nestlé didn't wanna."
@Mabande i think there's a difference in the amount of energy politicians need to spend on different proposals. A law that powerful interests want is easy because lobbyists and other external employees will be doing a lot of the work for the politicians. Writing the law, arguing for it in the media, building a coalition for the law etc etc.
Heads up to anyone using facebook or insta: you'll receive a notification about your data being used to train AIs. The opt out process is deliberately convoluted and you have to fill out a form to object. This is what I wrote in mine, and the objection was immediately registered as successful, so feel free to copy.
Masto reply bores, this is not a post on which to fart out your opinions about Meta or AI or whatever. So don't. I'm sharing helpful info for people who need it, not for you.
This is the text i wrote in Swedish and got approved instantly.
Horrible when those in charge make decisions that make your life much harder for purely selfish reasons without giving a crap about your situation, isn't it. Just awful.
#Genocide needs to be taught in all schools. It's sad to see so many adults who obviously never learned what genocide truly is. They really believe that it's only genocide if almost every person targeted in a genocide is dead. There's more to genocide than only body counts.
@msquebanh I've not had the chance to teach in school much but I'm proud that I did a lesson about genocide. And I pointed out that the Swedish state's long policy of 'reeducation' of indigenous children could be seen as genocidal.
This suggests to me that recognition of Palestine is 'sticky'. That is, it comes with so many benefits that even if a left-wing government does it, the country is unlikely to reverse the decision even under a right-wing government.
In other Sweden-UK history news. In 1940 the Brits seized some Swedish warships and promised to return them (eventually) as long as Sweden transferred American aircraft contracts to them.
