So my company decided to migrate office suite and email etc to Microsoft365. Whatever. But for 2FA login they decided to disable the option to choose “any authenticator” and force Microsoft Authenticator on the (private) phones of both employees and volunteers. Is there any valid reason why they would do this, like it’s...
Do like a friend of mine. He has a 15 dollar a month phone(mint mobile) that he uses for all his job related bullshit. Its all it does and he has no personal accounts on it at all. It kinda sucks that they insist on him using his own equipment for it but its the cheapest way to keep them out of his personal life.
Elon just tries to get approval by finding a dominate opinion among a group of people and parroting back what they say and want. Kinda obvious and pathetic.
These types exist for most any technical problem. The last one is the whiny one who also slams someone with a solution they don’t approve of. Even if the solution satisfies the person asking for help or perhaps because it satisfies them.
Use something easier to get started with like Ubuntu or Debian. Arch isn’t that great. I’ve installed it a few times as a VM but to me it brings nothing new to the mix. I kinda view Arch fanatics like apple fan bois or beer snobs. Kinda fun to laugh at for being so pretentious. After a while though you wish they would quit hot boxing their own hubris.
Back around 95/96 I once untarred a etc directory from a Slackware install over a redhat etc directory. It booted and worked perfectly. It was really hard to update though. Redhat started out as Slackware.
I keep one machine with slackware installed. I use it for various purposes include light desktop use. I occasionally compile a kernel. Just to keep the skill. My daily drivers are Debian and Ubuntu machines though. These pretentious new users(arch, cough, cough) probably wish they had the patience to keep a Slackware installation going full time.
True it just keeps invalidating the garbage piled up around someones faith. They could accept it was false and move on with no hindrance to their belief in god but because they can’t burn someone as a witch because we know why milk goes bad they reject it all.
I like how all stores even the shady ones like dollar general now want you to give money to some ‘charity’ at check out. Like I’m going to help them with some tax dodging scam they are running. I no longer tip anywhere I go. I don’t go to the places that force a tip on you.
In the first quarter of 2024, Meta made $36.45 billion dollars - $12.37 billion dollars of which was pure profit. Though the company no longer reports daily active users, it now uses another metric: “family daily active people.” This number refers to “registered and logged-in users of one or more of Facebook’s Family...
I guess. If your dad didn’t repeatedly beat you and slap you when you were younger for not looking him in the eye. Or if your mom didn’t ruin the clothes she didn’t like that you spent your own money to buy when you were sixteen. If she didn’t steal from you and lie about you to cover her acts.
When you live your whole life and realize they have never once apologized for any wrong they are every done. You know if they are decent people then they might be worthy of respect. But my shitty parents ran me in to the ground and disapproved of every woman I’ve ever been with. Called my daughter a bastard because she was conceived before I married her mother. So only respect them if they were not a complete waste of oxygen.
