Good morning. ☕️☕️🌖

My wife and I went shopping yesterday. When we got home, my PC was broken - again. 😢 I do believe it was my fault, in the army, I would maybe say that I had a case of the dumb a$$. But live and learn. If you’re curious, I just installed a new PSU. My PC is a tower I purchased a little rolling platform to set it on. Well … the platform is shorter than the base of the PC … bottom line I covered up the fan so the PSU wasn’t venting like it should. So pop goes a power supply. It’ll be a couple days before I get a new one.

In the mean time, I’m loading my photography tools on a laptop, something that I’ve been procrastinating over for a while. I have snail paced internet service so it’s slow going.

I’m doing this on my phone.

It’s time to start building a new PC.

@avds2708_1 That ICE app is a great idea for anyone. I need to do the same. EMS personnel will look through a patient's cell phone contacts for "ICE". That's standard practice (in the states). So you could also create a contact with an ICE name, too.

@SirNameless How about a vacuum pad that you lower behind your fridge, hook it to a vacuum hose and it sucks the dust from the coils into the pad. No need to pull the fridge all the way out.

@indie1337 @SirNameless Yep. Like the original posts suggests, when the coils get coated with dust and dirt their efficiency is reduced.

This Balimore Orioles (Icterus galbula) make me want to switch my allegiance, but I'm a Dodgers fan. Though I don't really keep up. The orioles and hummingbird are the only birds whose feed sessions are unaffected by my war with the mob ... of pigeons.

Spam (like the torrent of cryptoscamspam lots of people got this morning) has been very rare for me here (and dealt with quickly), but I've noticed that almost all of the spam I've gotten has been via Mastodon's DM feature.

I really wish there was a way to turn DMs off or at least restrict them to people I follow. Control over incoming DMs was a thing Twitter did better than here.

I love podcasts but they take too much time and are inconvenient compared to reading. I would like to cut down the subscriptions to the essentials. No more politics for sure. There are infrequent podcasts like The Convergence that aren't core, but don't get in the way with excessive episodes. Not sure about Sounds Like Hate.
