I am in the mood to play Dwarf Fortress tonight. But my Steam isn't launching correctly on Linux (seems to be a known issue with Wayland) - so the question is do I boot into Windows to play, or do I switch and play FTL or Minecraft instead?

@MaggieCi that is true. If you follow someone at Pixelfed, you will see their posts. But if you are at pixelfed and follow a mastodon account, you only see their image posts. The reason i made a pf account is because I want to migrate from Instagram.

Kinda glad that is on the way down. Their stunt with limiting access to two devices and their shitburger data limits per month completely trashed what was once a pretty good system. all the way, baby. Literally zero reason whatsoever to use EN these days.

@dhrystone I am totally into obsidian now. My entire workflow is in there too. Moved from a bullet journal into a weekly note. Zotero. Etc. It suits my autistic brain so well, all in one place.

In the depths of winter, my herb garden is mostly dormant. So I treated myself to a small hydronics kit with a grow light to grow some soft herbs like basil and coriander 🌿Bonus, more light in my kitchen. Now I wait.

Apparently has changed their privacy policy and now says that they'll scrape everything you post online to train their AI tools.
I even post my online on & my blog and now wonder if this is a bad idea.
They say paywalls could deter the scraping.
What do you think writers can do to protect their content? Or should we just roll over and accept that this is the way things will be from now on?

I won't get those hours back. I really should have stopped after Season 1. But after that I'd already invested too much.
