@purplepadma @RickiTarr I'm pretty much 100% the same. The first crack in my marriage was when I noticed how dismissive she was of the supermarket checkout staff, wouldn't even make eye contact. I always go out of my way to try to make everyone's day that little bit brighter, it takes virtually zero effort.

I've decided to experiment tonight with my vegan chilli sin carne. I'm marinating jackfruit in red wine and three different chilli sauces, then roasting it before adding it to the chilli. In my mind it's going to be great, in practice? I'll let you know!

To all the people asking "How are we going to pay for it?" every time any government spending is announced, just watch this (I'm looking at you Starmer, Reeves and Streeting).

With relatively simple changes to the existing UK tax system, the government could raise a further £192 billion a year.

There are no longer any excuses, continued austerity and its consequences are a political choice. There is a better song to sing.

@vfrmedia @Wen @breadandcircuses I just find myself constantly astonished at how lenient the criminal justice system is to people whose choice of weapon is a motor vehicle rather than a knife or a gun.

In my eyes, I fail to see the difference between pointing a gun or a car at a fellow human being.

@vfrmedia @Wen @breadandcircuses oh god do I I know that! I gave up driving about six years ago and travel almost exclusively by bicycle. I've had some incredibly close calls from the inattentive, the wilfully ignorant, the downright malicious and everything in-between. I doubt even one of those drivers understood how incredibly dangerous and potentially fatal their actions were.

What y'all favorite album?
I got 2 , songs in the key of life and innervisions _ stevie wonder. My gramps got these on vinyl and played them over and over i remember as a kid. I just starting my vinyl collection and these are the first albums I bought! Classics and both released years before my ass was even born !

This might not be your cup of tea but it is truly an astonishing piece of work for its time. I have the double gatefold original from the seventies. The production is amazing, well worth listening to on good quality headphones. It almost makes your eyeballs roll out of their sockets.
