I'm a gamer, a recluse, an amateur musician, a rare writer of fiction, a left leaning atheist, pro-EU and a conflicted Newcastle United fan. Professional shit-poster. Also, I swear quite a bit.

I see is free over the weekend. I don't often see eye-to-eye with , but these comments mirror my feelings. It's amazing how much Blizzard have eroded my trust which is amazing because D1 and D2 are amongst my favourite games of all time. Good job, idiots.

Holy sheet!

I've been following this game a while but 80% off. That's cray cray!

I don't know everything, but seemingly, Outward is an extremely challenging RPG. It harkens back to an older RPG style like Morrowind. No quest markers and no quarter given. I also love that death isn't always a respawn. Sometimes you'll be captured and forced to work down mines, for example. Even I, a jaded gamer, am a little excited to play it.

I shouldn't snicker at diets and diet fads but I can't help but have a little chuckle at this.

'A new study has debunked the general meal plan behind the Paleo diet, with findings suggesting that some Stone Age people ate a mostly vegan diet.'

As a gamer, I feel like some sort of pariah, sitting on the outskirts of the circle of gamers huddled around the figurative gaming campfire having lots of fun.

No matter how much I look, I cannot find the game that gets me excited or holds my interest.

There are a couple of games on my wish list that give me hope. I've high hopes for The Wayward Realms and Worship looks very interesting but beyond that, nothing. I've loads of games on my wish list but they're all long shots.

Any chance I might buy went out they window when the released DLC on day 1.

Yeah. Off with yer.

For about 10–15 years, I've documented my favourite game of the year. When I started, I recorded my favourite game retrospectively. All the way back to 1984.

That was tricky because I have a poor memory so I had to look up all the games for that year to remind myself which I'd played. It was nice to be reminded of the great experiences I had with some games.

So here is my currently installed games on #steam
I have other platforms but I don't often use them.

I would say that I mostly play #projectzomboid, #DayZ, #FootballManager and a little #Shadowofwar

I'm a little dry for games at the moment. I need something new but I'm extraordinarily picky.

Have any gaming suggestions?

Diablo 2's has a staggering level of complexity not evident on face value.

It is astonishing how replayable the game is.

If you're not played Diablo 2, you should and it was remastered (fairly) recently.

Now, I won't lie and say I was especially interested in this game to begin with but I can tell you what kills my interest pretty quickly.

Yeah, jog on.

The multiverse could have, and perhaps should have, been a great new angle for writers.

Instead, it's become a cop-out for lazy writers and executives alike looking to recycle old franchises.

Use it properly, or don't use it.

The work to make this is impressive enough but the imagination, especially to think of that spontaneous track placement, is genius.

Since the release of Diablo 3 I've become increasingly frustrated with Activision/Blizzard.

Hopefully this takeover will allow the aforementioned to make games not just with aggressive monetization but, if we're lucky, a moment of thought for player enjoyment and not a flagrant disinterest and disregard for the concerns of their player base.

Portal or Portal 2?

Know that, as (future) God Emperor of the known universe, answering incorrectly will result in you being 'recycled'.

I mean, I dunno. Do we really want or need another Willy Wonka film when the first one was perfect from beginning to end?

On the other hand, it's directed by the guy who did Paddington, it has Chalamet, Coleman and a slew of other actors I really like.

I love the little nods to the computer game in Fallout TV show. Like the hacking, amongst other things.

Well, RIP games journalism. Good luck finding an objective review. It was difficult before, now it'll be near impossible.

Recently, I've been watching small Youtubers video's for reviews. It's hardly reliable, though. It's important to stay small because I'm beginning to think the larger ones aren't exactly being objective either.

I've not seen a single post on Mastodon about this. Nobody cares, and nobody realizes how potentially damaging this could be.
