SuperEars,

His pants boner goes straight through the table.

SuperEars,

LOL yes! As soon as the urethra spoke, one third of the audience left. Yeah it’s a bad movie but I loved how the audience squirmed.

SuperEars,

I second the Dear Esther mention. I almost feel like it’s a dead body starting at me from my Steam library for the past decade+.

SuperEars,

GT is why I have Garbage’s As Heaven Is Wide on my driving playlist.

Are there artisticly vivid, custom Excel skins?

Today at work my team rolled our eyes at the latest uttering of “This is a living, breathing document.” I then joked that maybe we could give the spreadsheet some warts and some hair. That got me thinking - are there skins/mods for Excel that are cartoony and ridiculous? A cursory web search only turns up things that look...

Where are the good political songs? (piped.video)

I feel like there are lots of parallels between the eighties and now (recession/inflation, yuppies/inequality, skin-heads/fascists, hot-cold wars etc.) but there used to be protest music! Where is that stuff now? Music that’s intelligent and outraged - like we should be!...

SuperEars, (edited )

I’m a big fan of Rise Against. Try these tracks out:

  • Architects
  • Welcome to the Breakdown
  • A Gentleman’s Coup
  • Megaphone
  • Holding Patterns

and Bad Religion:

  • American Jesus
  • Meeting of the Minds
  • The Resist Stance
SuperEars,

FWIW the post-2020 Form W4 did away with picking a number of allowances. Now you write in a dollar figure comprised of multiples of $2000 and $500 as Step 4 states.

Seeing a low single-digit “number of allowances” written in Step 4 spotlights who read the instructions on the form and who didn’t.

SuperEars,

Quoted section is just context. The context paired with the important last line is:

“Even a person who could argue 1 or more points in favor of RTO can see that you will get a lower quality workforce if forcing RTO like this.”

SuperEars,

There’s an insect that eats nectar. Instead of doing it the bumblebee way which facilitates pollination, it pierces the outside bottom of the petals and "pirates nectar that way. Horny flower gets Pikachu face.

Parallels and whatnot. Lol idk

SuperEars,

A Chihuahua ate a Sandshrew and gained its powers

SuperEars,

I entertained it being real until it called Diet Coke sticky, which it is not.

SuperEars,

If anyone reading this is co-sleeping, don’t lie to your pediatrician when, during every visit, they ask you about sleeping arrangements. Tell them the truth.

If you don’t tell the truth, ask yourself what kind of parent lies to their baby’s doctor.

(Y’all’re using doctors, right? And not barn spirits or your Aunt Cookie’s facebook blog?)

SuperEars,

I love your comment. As someone who’s perpetually hung up on others’ misaligned discourse on major issues, it feels so refreshing to see it pointed out and articulated better than I could’ve done.

SuperEars,

Justin Sane, frontman of punk rock’s Anti-Flag, was recently accused of “predatory behavior, sexual assault, and statutory rape.”

Allegedly he’d eyefuck girls from the stage during shows in a very “That’s right, I’m a rockstar, lookin’ at you” kind of way, and somehow get them invited backstage later.

His bandmates disbanded after the news broke. Bandmates say they weren’t aware, that they stand with the victims, and they condemn his actions.

I saw Anti-Flag at a small venue years back and it makes me wonder if it happened to fellow concertgoers that night.

SuperEars,

I like the idea of this. At present time it doesn’t look like any Fitbit-branded devices are supported, unless I’m missing something.

TIL that player behaviors to a software bug that created a pandemic in World of Warcraft had similarities to COVID-19 in the real world (en.wikipedia.org)

… researchers noted the similarities between the game and the real-world pandemics. Both had an immediate impact on dense urban areas, which limited the effectiveness of containment procedures in stopping the spread of disease, while air travel, like fast travel, allowed infections to spread across large parts of the world...

SuperEars,

I took a chance on DQB2 and really liked it!

SuperEars,

I keep seeing My Time at Portia and think I might like it, but I haven’t taken the plunge yet.

Which obscure consoles have you played on?

When I was a kid my family had a TI-99/4A. The 99 series was Texas Instruments’ only real foray into the PC and video game market, and it failed to be competitive with Commodore, Atari, and Amiga. Most games were booted from cartridges. My favorites were Hunt the Wumpus, a sort of early survival-horror with a turn-based grid...

SuperEars,

My best friend from high school had one with a broken stand/tripod. Everything else worked fine but you needed to lay on your back and balance it on your face, and end up with a big red ring around your face after. I remember Wario jumping from foreground to background and back.
