So I'm pretty sure I'm having a reaction to the metal in my belly button ring specifically, the gem... hoping to see someone at a shop soon. I'm just so tired of this thing struggling, the internal healing seems to be going fine, but I guess it's the nickel? that's causing my outer skin problems.
You know sometimes I think about how even starting from early school years you're expected to show up regardless of how you're feeling-- physically, emotionally or mentally and how we're adults now that have chronic stress and illness because we literally suck at relaxing or taking it easy.
I'm a sickly adult struggling to learn how to care for myself properly because I've been conditioned since childhood to just "show up" and push through anyway.
@jdm2 I think a lot of us have thought/still do look at work in that way. There's just so much conditioning being done to us to make sure we're broken down "busy" little worker bees.
@Thapsyrensays I find people's takes on game length to be weird in general. Every game is replayable. I've replayed point-and-click adventures dozens of times over several decades and there's nothing different in those. There are 20 hour games I've never finished.
It's cool to have endgame activities to add variety, but every game is "replayable" by definition.
Little painting study I worked on last night. Trying to learn what kinda brushstrokes I like, if I enjoy visible texture, and just getting more comfortable with gouache.

My #birthday falls on Sunday this year, so my best friend is coming over today to spend some time with me and male bestie 🥳 Gunna play some Mario Kart, go grab a late lunch, and then off to the city to the tattoo parlor for my piercing!
Her husband and my godbaby made TT some homemade chocolate chip cupcakes 🧁 and I get some fresh veggies from the garden-- I'm excited!
