The next version (1.10.39) of #IceCubesApp will include a option to use Apple Translate as your primary translation source. If you had „always use DeepL“ set in the previous version this should be reflected after you’ve updated. @IceCubesApp #iOS#Mastodon
Is there a way to get @ivory to manually fetch or refresh accounts/profiles/toots of people on other servers?
I know I can open their profile in the in-app browser, but it’s such a hassle to have to log in and MFA every single time I want to follow/boost anything, and for some reason a lot of profiles never gets refreshed so I never see their updated profile/content in #Ivory. #Mastodon decentralized infrastructure problems… 🥲
@agnes I'm a big fan of @IceCubesApp - I use it for both my Mastodon accounts (personal and family) and I can use it to look at my Pixelfed. You can follow local instances for things you find interesting, you can make hashtag groups, and it has an AI alt-text generator. I don't use it all the time but if I'm in a rush and need a hand, I can use it to give me a baseline that I can modify accordingly.
To change the button: Settings > General > Tab Customizations > then I chose to change the 5th one that is Profile to Lists. If someone else knows a different way I hope they share. (2/2) #icecubesapp

@emmysong I use the lists feature and check the “Hide these posts from home” option. I also use the local timelines feature on #IceCubesApp. Also there are features to limit boosts.
@ivory hi! Great app! However, I miss 1 cool feature from #IceCubesApp. Is it possible to grouped hashtags? Or is it just me and Ican’t find it? Thank you!
#IceCubesApp#ivory#ios
I find it odd that a #Mastodon app on #iOS which charges a subscription fee is so popular that an update post makes the trending page. I've used Ivory, and apps on #Android like #Tusky and #Pachli are just as good plus completely free. :ablobthinkingeyes:
To anyone looking for a minimalistic Threads-like Mastodon app for iOS, @Threaded is pretty good!
They're in TestFlight right now and I'm sure they'll be working on it for a bit before releasing it.
A bit TOO minimalistic for me personally because I'm already used to the "feature packed" @IceCubesApp, but if you don't mind a feature lite app, Threaded is definitely worth a look!
@BrotherEarth@IceCubesApp Giving #MonaApp another go. I tried #IceCubesApp previously. Maybe I will give it another go. At the time, I think Ice Cubes was missing sync across all devices.
My yearly subscription for my preferred Mastodon client @ivory lapsed the other day, so I gave Ice Cubes another whirl. Nope. There are a few thing it has that I wish were in Ivory but it’s just not as smooth, like there’s a lag to a lot of the actions of a few seconds. No disrespect to the Ice Cubes devs, it’s a good app for the most part but Ivory is so smooth. If I’m not on the website it really is the best way for me to interact with Mastodon.
@cfmccarthy That is adorable! Makes sense. Thank you so much for inspiring me to listen to her. Notifications in the #IceCubesApp have been wonky, so I am sorry I didn’t see your replies earlier. I rebooted phone, checked app settings, etc. It is hit or miss, maybe a bug. Wow didn’t know she did Stand By Me too.. gonna fall asleep soon. Take care. :)
@IceCubesApp one other thing I noticed is that the text font in the notifications panel is a grey tone that makes it less legible against the vOS window background. I think only replies are shown in the .primary black color. This makes sense To make them stand out from starred or boosted notifications but the grey font can be hard to read against the window background depending on the lighting of the background behind the window.
Is there a way to change setting to load most recent posts first on @IceCubesApp rather than having to scroll up while old posts are being loaded? #feditips#IceCubesApp
