    I’m a ProductOwner and UX designer who builds tools to help companies and governments transition to a sustainable and CircularEconomy.

    Originally Australian, now in the Netherlands ten years. Mostly talking about Sustainability, Climate, PlanetaryBoundaries, PostGrowth / Degrowth systems, and foss / tech, among many things. Cycling and UltimateFrisbee nut for fun.

    You know - a normal and totally unique human childhood just like anyone I suppose.

    @sharongascoigne I have fallen down a Levellers-shaped rabbit hole now! Totally forgot how much I used to love them. Saw them at Brixton a few times then the anti Nazi League march in Brockwell in '94. They blew my mind a bit. Listening to them again now I totally remember that feeling.     All the negative interactions I've had have been with people who don't follow me. It's bizarre. Anyone I don't like / agree with I just ignore or block. I always think of the joke - it's like going into a town square, seeing a notice board with an advert for guitar lessons, phoning that person and BUT I DON'T EVEN WANT GUITAR LESSONS!

    Then there are those who will be offended for some ultra-specific reason. The other day someone got cross for me referring to my 'wife'.....defining her by my relationship with myself. I mean - I sort of understand? Grr, the patriarchy etc. But I was posting a nice picture she took.

    It was very discombobulating, being on the receiving end of that. I had a moment of vertigo where I wondered what if I was now right wing?

    @enoch I'm a pretty gentle soul. Even when I get cross about something I'm quite quick to realise it then openly admit it and defuse. I fucking hate the machismo that goes into someone looking at someone else the wrong way and it immediately descending into violence. I was in a bar a couple of weeks ago. I barged into someone with drinks by mistake. I'm not small and can apparently sometimes come off as intimidating. I immediately apologised with a smile, offered to replace the drinks (the other guy was shaved head, tattoos etc) - he grinned and said don't worry about it - we got shots together then had a dance. Wish the whole world could be that way.
