Sometimes, I just need to hear it.

I’m at the point in my life now where I can’t hear random single songs from this album anymore. It’s something that I have to listen to as a whole from start to finish.

If I hear one song on the radio, or on TV, all it does is drive me to either putting this record on, or play it front to back while I’m driving.
The world sucks ass without Prince in it.

Pearl Jam Vs. New Remaster. Issued in 2LP at 45rpm. So different to the 1LP clear that also came out. Differently Cut / mastered and pressed.

Beyond happy I finally found the red vinyl copy of this; my favorite Rush album not named Caress Of Steel.

I’m going to spin this right now, then that’ll be the last time I play it.
I’m going to frame it; sleeve on left side, record on right, and hang it in my studio.

When I moved to Canada in 2007, I was uncertain of what lay ahead.

I would just say, “At least Rush is from there.” 😂

An absolute flawless classic. One of my favorite records ever.

This particular pressing sounds amazing. I A/B’d this against a CD copy and this won HANDILY. It’s one of the best sounding records in my collection period.
Beth Hirsch’s vocals on All I Need sound stellar.
And of course… who doesn’t like a little Sexy Boy?
For me, 1997 was all about THIS and OK COMPUTER.

SLOWDIVE
Slowdive
2017 U.S. pressing

Slowdive has followed in the line of Mission Of Burma, Dinosaur Jr.,& Quicksand, in that their “reunion” records were just as good, if not better, than their previous classic works.

In the case of Slowdive, this was the first in 22 years, & is STELLAR.
The same can be said of their latest album as well, which I also recently posted, & am still taking in.
Both albums make me appreciate the other that much more.

I fuckin love it.

I lucked out in where as I help a local record store with its cleaning appraising and pricing of vinyl because there’s soooooo much, and I get thick mils for free. It’s an endless supply. We order so much cuz we go through so much because of how much vinyl there is.

@Whiskeyomega @RVLara23 @waxandbeans I have a sleeve on my Slowdive. I have em on everything, but I just take them off for the picture due to glare and reflection. Another one of my pet peeves. 😂
And yeah that mastering info & dead wax sequences & stuff on the stickers is very important in getting through what I do in a timely manner. So I’m quite familiar with everything code and info wise with every record. Becomes second nature after a bit.

I like physical music man. I like the relationship with physical music. Artwork, all those little codes and different variants & presses. Extensions of artwork on gatefold jackets & labels itself.
Odd stuff you find inside a used record sleeve from 30 or 40 years ago. All the many things that other record collectors have said about why they love it. But all that stuff is true.
It’s not disposable.

I’m in the process of updating my discogs.
I did a purge last year and got rid of about 200+ useless records I didn’t need in order to get me under 1000.
So I had to delete everything and now I’m starting from scratch getting everything back up to date.
It comes in handy when I’m shopping and can’t remember if I own a copy of something or not.
