Honestly, genocide-denial should make her a non-starter. How the hell did she make it to Premier?

I mean, I know that initially she was picked, not elected, by like-minded individuals from her own party only, but even after that she still got the rural vote in Alberta. That is seriously disturbing. How much racial hatred can we put up with in ?

Speaking of historic hatred, I walk by one of YEG's first active meeting sites for the KKK daily - The Orange Hall outside the Fringe offices. I often think about creating an historically-accurate plaque on the building

Gods.... back at the U of A many years ago from a local historian who lectured on hate groups. It was early 90s, and Keegstra was also referenced by him in the lecture

One of the things I dig about Mastodon is a bit of a slower, and more thoughtful, pace of receiving info. It allows me - us - to actually give maybe more real thought & attention to an issue, or an artist's work, or an example of social injustice that appears in our feeds

On other social networks, we are bombarded with fresh hells every 18 seconds, making us tend to react as fast as pinballs hitting bumpers, never being able to fully digest what we just read
