-36 celcius and about 30cm of snow on the ground where I live. The temperature is normal for this time of year but we normally have about 2 meters of snow on the ground. It is shaping up for a horrific fire season. I am so old I can remember when we called fire season summer.

If it were up to me I would socialize everything. Farms, factories, schools, hospitals, roads, bridges. Even sports. If I am in charge the sports team and the arena would be owned by the city where they reside. The profits from the venture would run the city and reduce the taxes of the citizens. The guy cleaning the arena would get the same wages as the guy throwing the ball. The guy throwing the ball could retire when he could no longer play.

Winter 2022 was the most snow I have ever seen where I live. Our summer was the worst fire season on record. This winter we have much much less snow. What forests that still exist here will not likely survive summer. Good luck to us all.
