    @Basmitharts @RickiTarr Wow!! About 2 decades ago I knew a couple who were a gay man married to a hetro woman. They were absolutely infatuated with each other, totally in love but had sexual relationships that never involved each other. It seemed to work just fine. Not just anyone could make something like this work. I hope they are still thriving.

    @RickiTarr My mother who died at age 90 in 2010 was a huge fan of Charles Bronson. She owned every movie he ever made. I am not very aware of elder women's physiology but she seemed a tad enamored...

    I was there the day computers arrived in the workplace. It was still a decade before the first actual IT department. They literally just grabbed some woman from accounting and made her the computer person. This is the lineage of the IT department. Some poor woman who was thrown totally unprepared, for a thing she knew absolutely nothing about. It broke some of them and others thrived. It was a total crap shoot.

    In 1957 my dad bought 3 acres and a small house. His mortgage payment was $8/month. In 1960 my dad sold 1/3 acre for $1500, in 1970 he sold another 1/3 acre for $10,000. The mortgage was now paid off. He retired in 1969 and his wage was just under $2/hr. He was the only wage earner in the home. It was normal for a person working one job to have all the things, a house a car and put his kids through college on just under $2/hr. The only reason it is still not like this is greed. GREED.

    I know they'd only find ways around it, but why can't donations to political parties be capped? A maximum amount per individual or organisation, with company directors only eligible to donate once (either personally or through their company/partnership/charity/trust).

    @fak Political donations should be illegal. Every party should get the exact same amount to run their campaigns, this money should be provided by the government and should be funded by fair taxation. INCLUDING TAXING BILLIONAIRES AND CHURCHES!!!!
