"not in time compiler" (nit-compiler) tells you how you should've optimized your code after the fact

#Monsterdon ok that was some WILD tonal shifts and a lot of fun :D

i hate the papa godzilla suit, but love the baby godzilla suit

and the mantises and spider are actually literally great

good movie, good selection, good fun all!

moira,
@moira@mastodon.murkworks.net avatar

@brooke agreed, the mantises and spider were both quite good, as were all the models.

man this infomercial makes me wanna buy a grill

too bad i'm literally not allowed to use a grill on my apartment balcony >:D

yakkoj,
@yakkoj@fosstodon.org avatar

@brooke I remember the "no grill" rules coming into force at the apartment complex 20 years ago when it was clear no one could be trusted to NOT burn the building down ;o)

i like to write:

let var1 = ...;
let var2 = ...;
return { var1, var2 };

instead of

return {
var1: ...,
var2: ...
};

for one thing it's a lot easier to add debug console.logs to ;)

wow somebody on msfs forums is running their msfs under linux with windows virtualized via qemu with dedicated cpu cores and pcie pass-through for the gpu rendering full-speed to its own screen

i gotta step up my game here, folks.

yakkoj,

@brooke bonus if they're running Windows 11 that way (the arbitrary requirements make this hard enough on real hardware)

they made a second season of "milf manor", the reality show where a bunch of hot middle-aged women compete for the affections of younger hot men

sadly they did not title it

"2 milf 2 manor"

JoscelynTransient,

@brooke i swear that was a joke name for a reality tv show as a parody of how ridiculous reality shows were in a comedy...like...was it 30 rock? Is Tina Fey to blame? 😄

@DavBot couple that with the zombie horse erotica and she's basically everyone I know.

do architects get paid a royalty for every monetary transaction that occurs in a building that they designed?

or is it only operating systems that work that way

binary keyboard that supports full unicode but it's just 21 flip switches and an 'enter' key

1000millimeter,
@1000millimeter@chaos.social avatar

@foone @Jmj @brooke @NanoRaptor Do you enter ASCII Codes, i.e. seperate codes for upper and lower case, or do you have to enter two different codes (Shift + Letter) for upper case?

foone,
@foone@digipres.club avatar

@1000millimeter @Jmj @brooke @NanoRaptor It takes ASCII, yeah. it has to translate it into letter+shift because of how PC keyboards work

it's not that i don't like machine learning models, i think they're a perfectly fine tool for some uses

it's that i don't like or trust people, and people run corporations, which i trust even less, which proceed to fuck over other people, using investor hype cycles as the medium of expression

yakkoj,
@yakkoj@fosstodon.org avatar

@brooke it's people who hyped up "AI" in the 1980s for all the wrong reasons. It's people who are trying to shoehorn machine learning into AI that we "NEED".

Those "people" called "corporations" made it a buzzword, and toxic, and a thing I'll never ever trust to do anything right.
