It's weird that Republicans are so big on student loans when you consider that they're effectively a tax and major government fundraiser. Makes it all the harder to take them seriously when they talk about tax burdens on "regular folk".

Apple has announced some SWEEPING changes coming to the App Store in the EU with iOS 17.4:

  • Alternative app marketplaces
  • 0% commission for apps sold outside the App Store, with 0% commission on alternative payment methods (!)
  • Third-party browser engines now allowed (!!)
  • Game streaming now allowed on the App Store

For those following my saga here is the truncated version:

  1. Community version installed. Had some quirky issues, like gpu fans not working properly. Wanted to try something else.
  2. Tried , “installed” then crashed on reboot
  3. Tried current, kept timing out and issues around pkg
  4. Tried to install but got stuck in a boot/restart loop
  5. Got tired of tring to install BSD
  6. Attempted to install . Would not load onto SSD

@frigidcode @ramsey true. Besides the muscle memory, I think now it's just getting used to not needing the file tree. Didn't realize how often I use that to find sister files in a directory or add new files. Even move them.

Nothing makes me want to steal from a company like DRM.

I legally purchased a book on my kindle and now i want it on my computer, as it's a programming book. It's literally easier to pirate a copy of that book than it is to get my legal copy over to my computer.
