Oooof. I just accidentally learned a lot about internals…

In a git-cherry-pick operation that required conflict resolution, I had accidentally added my full uncommitted workdir with "git add -u". Then I decided to discard the cherry-pick altogether with "git cherry-pick --abort". And suddenly all my local uncommitted changes were gone from the index as well as the worktree… 😬

Did you know:

chown scy: some_file

(note the colon after scy) changes the owner of some_file to scy, and the group to scy's primary group. No need to look it up or type it out.

Wait, why is loading .vim/after/plugin/foo.vim if the foo plugin isn't installed at all?

(Sharing dotfiles across machines, and I was hoping that /after/ made sure that it's only sourced when the plugin itself is installed on that particular machine.)

I know that I can use exists() to check for a plugin command or whatever to conditionally do things, I was just hoping I didn't have to.

@scy looking at vim's help for 'runtimepath' and ':runtime', it seems that ~/.vim/after/ is always added to the runtimepath, so a :runtime plugin/foo.vim or even a :runtime! plugin/*.vim (maybe done by a plugin manager?) will load it too. I guess in NeoVIM this is the same for compatbility reasons.

@blinry as far as I know the ISM band goes from 433.05 MHz until 434.79 MHz, so this is in the range…? I guess there are also some kinds of "channels" defined on it when you want to have different applications using it at the same time
