I just read that #guitar #amp #wattage should be twice that of the #speakers, and that if too low, the sound will be muffled.
This may explain the #tone I get from my 5 watt tube amp through a Fender GE-412 300 watt cab.

New GraphTech nut installed.
Does it fix tuning issues? HARD NO.
G and low E pull sharp when I use the tremolo.

#NPD Cusack Music Project 34 Selenium pre/drive.
It's kind-of like a klon: vol, tone, gain, can boost and/or add dirt.
Has a switch to add bass.
I'd say it's more creamy than fizzy in character.
I don't know where to put it yet... which pedal to take off the board, where to put it in the chain.

Hey #GearSquad, #guitar #pickup question:
Epi Dot 335 pickup upgrade. I think what it has are called "mudbuckers". Nice tone but no sparkle.
Wilkinsons are cheap but okay - I put them on another guitar and was fine with them, but for ten times more (about what I spent on the guitar), I could get Lollar Imperials or other schmancy PAFs.
So how much better are boutique PAFs for good, prickly highs?

Are humbuckers darker than single coils because the wire in the coils is longer, and the higher frequency components of the tone fluctuate fast enough to to self-cancel?
Google says light goes 186 miles in a millisecond, so I don't know.
But I like the idea of shorter total wire length is like a higher sampling rate.

So my #guitar had small #frets. And a few pulled out a little. And I hastily filed them down.
Badly.
And took it to a #PLEK place. Needs a refret now, because #PLEK crowning tools have deep U-shaped teeth that can't work on small frets without gouging the fretboard on either side.
I could buy an okay guitar or a nice new neck for the price.

Trying to learn Funny Valentine.
Looked up two chord charts - #Jazz Fake book and internet. They disagree with each other, and with my ear. And my clumsy #guitar fingers. Recorded versions sound like they are playing all twelve notes at the same time.
I may just fake it on bass.
But I wish I were fluent in six note #chords!!! Then I could do my own arrangement, and it would make musical sense.
I hate everyone.

I'm way out of my depth here.
I'm a bedroom player with mostly cheap guitars, but I bought a custom T style a while back.
It needs fret work. A few frets pulled out a little.
Local shop does PLEK:
$225
$300 if frets need to be reseated.
Too low to PLEK, so refret needed:
$600
BUT it's a finished maple neck, so needs to be refinished after planing:
$850.

I could buy a neck AND get it PLEK'd for less.
I could almost buy a new MIM Tele for that.

$150 to get it back un-fixed.

My first and only tube amp, is intermittently (like gusts of wind) making a noise like radio static.

Is that a thing tube amps do?

Do tubes burning out make that sound (I imagine not, they probably just stop working, but I don't know)?

I guess the 520s for tone and the 505 for the bridge volume.

Voting tactically sucks. We had an actual election in my area today (not a foregone conclusion), and of course I gotta vote for the one most likely to beat the one I don't want.
I wish we had ranked choice voting, so I could vote for the one I like best, and also vote for the safe one!
