When the US began, I think most countries in Europe were monarchies or aristocracies, and I Believe there were doubts about the line between letting all the men of property vote and mob rule.
We are all, or mostly, dum-dums. So US democracy is still an experiment.
The choices do suck.
But where we are is here. Trying to do the right thing. Or not.

I'm ok, I'm under the VA's care. Getting things sorted out and back on my meds. I know it's worrying, but isn't the whole world kinda insane? Is this not a valid reaction to all the pain.

Voting tactically sucks. We had an actual election in my area today (not a foregone conclusion), and of course I gotta vote for the one most likely to beat the one I don't want.
I wish we had ranked choice voting, so I could vote for the one I like best, and also vote for the safe one!

Gender messaging is everywhere. Libraries least of all. Just saying.
I've been indoctrinated in maleness all my life. Way before puberty, and ever since. Told who and what I am and what I must be.

@DZGrizzle NPR is weak, to not offend comfortable listeners.
An easy explanation for Christians not liking what Christ taught is that most people are dumb, and there are lots of reasons to join a church other than a desire to follow Christ, and there are also many reasons for Churches to want to keep the pews full.
So teaching folks to follow Christ might be a balancing act.

If you are worried about the 2 babies that died on Oct 7th and not the hundreds (likely more) that have died in Gaza since, it suggests that you value some babies more than others.

They’re all babies. People killing babies are bad people. Hamas are bad people. IDF personnel killing babies are also bad people. Politicians on both sides deciding to have their footsoldiers kill babies are bad fucking people.

That part of this is not complex at all.
