I’m currently paying them $11.90 a month to host my homeserver on their EMS platform.

My payment in April will have been the last.

It’s one thing to provide FLOSS comms to the government. It’s another to proudly support our fucked up police system.

Is there something better than sshfs?
I ask because for some reason the maintainers of sshfs have decided "fuck osx" and made it a gigantic pain in the ass. I have a server we're using for a gig and its gathering lots of intel, and I dont want to scp down snapshots several times a day, i want to view live data on that box.

am i just behind the curve? is there some cool new thing I dont know about?

What we really need in the #SocialWeb, as the next iterative progression of #ActivityPub and its implementations like #Mastodon etc. IMHO. https://solidproject.org to store all posts and pictures etc per user, not per instance or account. This would radically reduce the scope of an implementation and allow for frictionless migration between instances. This does NOT necessarily need any change to the standard. It's an implementation detail, AFAICS. #SocialCG

Ich denke schon, zumal das allerhand positives für die Kinder hat. Es gibt überall sowas und j natürlich gibt es auch mehr Verletzungen (relativ).

They don’t even have a page about the person that has been killed in Mannheim last year, and the “Germany” section in https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polizeigewalt is an utter mess and woefully incomplete.

    (the library, https://rich.readthedocs.io) has pretty nice-looking output and a wealth of functionality, but am I the only one who thinks that its API is pretty icky? It’s just small details that I don’t like, but they add up.

    • strings being formatted BBCode-style
    • progress bar tasks being manipulated by passing around int IDs (even though internally they’re objects!)
    • Console capturing stdout by default
    • the default Progress columns not really suitable for indeterminate tasks
